Unbelievable! Just un-freaking-believable!
Previously when I wrote I mentioned I'd gotten myself TWO jobs, both of which I was looking forward to. Now the one at Uni that involves half an hour of work a morning and only four hours a week is going great- I like that one. I work alone and at my own pace.
My other job at Michel's has gone down the toliet-today the boss who had previously been so nice to me (at least during the interview process) told me the store didn't need me because my avialability wasn't good enough- he wanted people who could start at six in the morning- but I have to do the papers at Uni by 9 am and the building isn't open until 8am.
Basically I think this all has to do with my unfortunate first day on Monday, in which I did everything wrong- including screwing up the cash register and not been able to take a simple phone call. The amount of money I get for this brief period of work- $60.
I had such plans too! I was going to buy new sneakers, and some Sims games (expansion packs were two for $50), pay all my bills and pay for Foxtel in my little studio apartment.
Now I have to live on $288 a fortnight from Centrelink and around $151.60 a fortnight from the Uni job. Which actually isn't bad when you consider what I'm doing (sticking papers in folders), hmmm, my Maths is probably wrong though.
Anyway, I seem to have a bad headache or something, so I'll be signing off now. It's hot in the studio tonight-I'll have to put the fan on, but not the air conditioner because I'm too poor to pay for too much electricity!
