Oh nuts, my Disaster show is on tonight, so I'm taping it, but I can't for the life of me remember if I put the tape in the right place, I could be taping over last weeks episode, which would seriously suck ass. I'd have to wait for the repeats and then have the tape ready etc. etc.

I suppose it's my problem loving to tape stuff as I do, what can I say I'm addicted.

Right, I haven't moved upstairs or anything, but the room is looking much cleaner, although I doubt my father will be impressed, he's very picky about such things, a real neat-nick.

I'm thinking I'm going to go to the Docs tomorrow about my back, this is a worry to me, because it might be a bit of a case of the Boy Who Cried Wolf, I wonder if they'll take me seriously. Unless of course, I sneeze in their presence and my knees nearly give way, as has being happening for the last couple of days.

I've been Asking Jeeves to try and pinpoint the problem, but he's not really helping me this time, ah but you've gotta love Jeeves, he's a good guy. :O)

I don't believe it! They're actually putting 'translations' for one of the guys in the program, I mean his got a Welsh accent, but it's not that thick. I remember that once on the Discovery Channel they actually "traslated" for an Australian person! Hello, we speak English too you know, weirdos.

As a Disaster program, it's a very sad program, at the moment it's about the workers on an oil rig in the North Sea,(206 of them) when their rig exploded and the other rigs didn't shut down, all this oil comes sprouting out and turns the place into a fireball and nearly all the workers onboard are killed (167 of them in fact). Poor guys. They followed their orders to wait where they were supposed to and it all went downhill from there.

I saw a program on this thing before, and really the guy on the other platform, the one that didn't shut down really lacked inative, he just waits to hear from his supervisor who happened to be on the mainland so obviously doesn't get the idea of the seriousness. :O(

In fact, the only way most of them escaped was jumping off the rig, 20 metres down! I'm sure you'd break a few bones doing that.

Whoops, did tape in the wrong place, do'h! Oh well, this is cable, thankfully and as mentioned they repeat everything ad nauseum, and not even that since I enjoy a good repeat.

Particularly when it comes to investigating disasters, I like to see how the figure it out and prevent them from happening again...hopefully. I actually thought about joining the NTSB at one point, but firstly I don't live in the US, secondly I don't want to see dead bodies, thirdly I didn't do Maths and science in my last year of school and finally, I'm not to keen about flying to the site of what's often a plane crash.

11.59pm Well, it wasn't oil after all but LPG...turns out they mine three different things with the rig, does that mean they have three different pipes to pipe it up or what?

Say, they never mentioned the other rig keeping the oil rushing out, or at least only in passing, reminds me of the two different Concorde episodes, one blamed a piece of metal on the crash, the other blamed incorrect wheel replacement. Which is right? Questions...questions...
