Ninth Day All Ready?

10:04pm LOL, irony!

Nine Ladies Dancing

George McFly would normally be at home, school dances certainly weren't his thing, in fact social events of any kind weren't his thing.

He wondered about ditching Marty and the whole plan and going home, but he didn't want to chicken out on his new friend...it seemed like a really unfair thing to do, even though George had only known Marty for a week.

Trying to distract himself from the plan he looked out at the dance floor where most of the Senior class of Hill Valley High were dancing away.

Close by were nine couples, all of whom George would rather avoid, but he didn't want to get their attention by making a big move.

"So, what do you think of that new kid?" He heard one of the girls say.

"Whatshisname? Marty? Calvin?" Another girl asked.

"Who cares he's cool, I mean he totally creamed Tannen the other day." A guy said with a loud laugh.

"You mean manured him," another guy snickered and the rest of group laughed.

"But he sure doesn't know who to hang with," a third girl began, "I mean he's been seen with that complete nerd George McFly." She obviously didn't notice or perhaps didn't see George. He hoped it was the latter because at least it would mean he was fading into the background.

"Oh, I know!" A fourth girl, one of Lorraine's friends laughed. "Maybe it's some sort of pity project...I mean you know that wimp came up to Lorraine and Babs and me the other day in the cafe-"

"Oh, that was hilarious!" The blonde girl standing next to her almost doubled over with laughter. "What a freak!"

If George hadn't regretted coming to the dance, he certainly was now, but there was no escape now. All he could do was turn away and try and block out the conversation going on behind him.

"So where is Lorraine?" Another girl, Shelley asked, George could tell it was her because she mocked him whenever she could so he knew her voice from a mile away. "I didn't think she'd be the type to skip a dance."

"She's not skipping out on it," Babs shot back, "in fact she'll be here any minute with Calvin."

"God, she's gone through all the boys in school, huh?" Shelley sneered.

"That's your department, Shelley," Betty snapped, sharply.

There was a laugh from one of the guys in the group, probably Shelley's date, considering her reply. "Shut up, twerp! Can't believe I came with you."

"Well, once you go through all the good ones..." An eighth girl joked.

"Shut the Hell up, Catherine, I can ruin you in this school you know."

"We're really scared, Shelley...you should cut back on the radio dramas, huh?" Finally a voice George recognised more than the others.

"Pinza-Schaefer, what are you even doing here? I didn't know they let losers in."

"Must be a relief to you, Crow."

There was laughter again.

George sighed, he certainly didn't have Alison's ability to stand up to bullies, or Marty's either...

Why had he agreed to this again?

He really wished he could get out of here.

Oh hey it's raining out there...and it's stuffing around with the satillite here. I didn't even notice it was raining until just now! But then all the weather reports these days said that we should look forward to more rain this year.

Anyway, this is my third update for today...so...

3xThursday

Are You Content?

1. Are you content with your job? Why/why not?

Hell yeah! First of all, it's a miracle I've got it. Second of all, it's a really interesting job and third of all, I've got a car out of it...need I say more? No, I don't think so :OP

2. Are you content with your relationship with your significant other? If you don't have one, are you on the lookout for one?

Nope, I'm cool.

3. How about your friends? Are you content with the ones you have, how they treat you, etc? How so/how not?

LOL, no I want a refund! In all seriousness though, I love my friends, they're great! Which is why I'm conflicted about whether to ditch the get-together to see Brian Wilson. Craaap!

Booking Through Thursday

Anticipation

What new books are you looking forward to most in 2008? Something new being published this year? Something you got as a gift for the holidays? Anything in particular that you’re planning to read in 2008 that you’re looking forward to? A classic, or maybe a best-seller from 2007 that you’re waiting to appear in paperback?

Uh...geeze, I dunno...I'm looking forward to really going through the Sydney Uni library this year in search of info for my George III novel. That's all I've got right now...which is probably could because I can't really afford, nor fit any new books. Or old books for that matter. So yeah.

Thursday Threesome

::Better Late than Never!::

Onesome: Better-- butter than margarine? ...or Mayonnaise? What goes on your bread for sandwiches? How about dinner rolls? Honey, anyone?

Margarine usually, although I do have butter on my sandwiches when it work, but I don't like butter usually...tastes...creamy and weird. Hate Mayo though. I do love honey though, yum!

Twosome: Late-- again! I think that's something I do about once a year. May I blame it on Christmas cleaning? How about you: is your place all cleaned up from the paper-fest? ...or can you even get to the door yet?

What you're only late once a year? Geeze, I'm almost always late, except for work (Cripes can't do that this year! Ever!). As for my apartment it is a paperfest, but not because of Christmas presents...it's been like this for six month (Yeah, I suck).

Threesome: than Never-- again? Do you have any Christmas memories (this year or Christmas Pasts) that you'd just like to never repeat? I'm thinking humourous stories would be best!

Well, the Christmas I found out Santa wasn't real was rather upsetting. But the Christmas we got the little trampoline rocked! Especially years later when Dad showed us the pictures of he and Grandpa setting it up Christmas night while we kids were asleep. Heh heh, sneakin' in the night.

Yeah, so I got nothin' more to say...or I did, but now I've forgotten what it was.

I'm watching Antiques Roadshow, I love that show...especially Michael Aspel the presentor. I still regret not been able to get in and meet him when the Roadshow came down under. Laaame!

And that's about all I have to say about today.

Goodnight all!
