Oh Yeah...

11:08pm: Whoops, I opened this page almost a half hour ago and then forgot to do anything with it!

Ahem, and now it's another twenty minutes later. I'm am so not on the ball tonight. Perhaps the spinach back fired...either that or the fact I didn't sleep too well, I had a blanket rather than a doona and ended up getting cold. Which is really pretty friggin' annoying. Would my body please make up its mind?

In other news, my get-together tomorrow is looking more and more like a no show, which is really disappointing, also what am I going to do with all those cupcakes - especially in light of this article regarding Asutralia's increasing waistlines?

Well, I'll think of something :OP

FOUR FOR FRIDAY

13/6/08

Q1 - Rainbow: Rainbows--the optical and meteorological phenomena that cause a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere--are a rare sight. When was the last time you saw a rainbow (where was it and what were you doing at the time of the sighting)?

Well, hey you took the magic outta that :OP! In answer to your question I haven't seen a rainbow in aaages seems they're a rare phenomen these days. Sometimes you can kinda see on in pools of oil on the road.

Q2 - Loyalty: Oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. yesterday revealed plans to sell its 2,200 company-owned gas stations, saying they aren't profitable enough even with gasoline selling at nearly $5.00 per gallon. Are you loyal to a particular brand of gasoline or one specific gas station? If so, what is it about that brand or station that makes you so loyal?

Nah...I generally go to Caltex, but only because my boss's shop at Woolies and get the 4 cents off per litre discount dockets. Also, it's conveniently located on my way to work. If it wasn't for that I'd go wherever was cheap.

Q3 - Sunday Morning: Tim Russert, NBC News' Washington bureau chief and the moderator of "Meet the Press," died this morning after collapsing while recording voiceovers for Sunday's broadcast. Do you watch any of the Sunday morning interview shows that specialize in interviewing national leaders on issues of state, economics and foreign policy?

No and that's all I have to say about that.

Q4 - : The Guinness Book of World Records claims that "My name is Bond, James Bond" is the most famous movie line of all time. What's your favorite line from a movie?

"If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious shit." LOL, Doc you rule.

Friday Fill-In

1. A smile is a ray of sunshine. (Yeah, I really need to get to bed...)

2. Cansta is my favorite board or card game. (Especially considering I won against my grandmother last time!)

3. I would love to have more space in my life and less anxiety.

4. When I think of the Summer Solstice, I think of sunshine, warmth!. (Unfortuantely for us, the Winter Solstice is coming up Down Under, the sun sets at 4:54pm on Sunday, screw that...)

5. I just remembered I need to wish Garfield a Happy Birthday! The fat orange tabby cat is 30 years young! Or he was yesterday...I meant to post about this this morning, but I was too busy to.

6. One of my favorite song lyrics goes like this: "I can feel it coming in the air tonight...". (Yeah, I like Phil Collins, wanna make something of it?)

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to going to bed (the fun never stops, tomorrow my plans include wrting on some fanfic, maybe going to my apartment on the bus so I can set my tape and not be distracted by my laptop, as it won't be there... And perhaps have that get together and Sunday, I want to just hang out, write whatever!

Friday Fun

The Life Edition

1. When you look back at your childhood dreams, has your life gone in the direction you expected?

Well, as I have said numerous times, I never expected to grow up...hence these dreams have not really come to pass... :OP

2. What were the three most life changing events in your life? How did they shape who you are?

The family trip around the world!
Developing anxiety attacks (that's a sucky one...)
Graduating Uni (go me!)

3. Is there anything you would drastically change about your life or are you content with where your life has taken you?

Well, I kinda wish I didn't have the anxiety issues, because they suck and honestly I don't see any of that - "whatever doesn't kill you, will make you stronger." Screw that.

Friday Question

If you could experience someone else’s job for one day, what type of job would you choose?

Wow, that's a tough one...I guess a librarian at the Mitchell Library, that would seriously rock...at least I think it would...I mean all those books, sweeeet.

Friday's Feast

Appetizer

If you could live on another continent for 1 year, which one would you choose?

North America! I bitch about George Bush, but I have nothing against the US people on the whole. Plus living in New York, visitng Back to the Future film sites, that would be a dream come true!

Soup

Which browser do you use to surf the Internet?

Firefox 2
. Apparently there's a new Firefox out, but it looks really Windows Vista-ish/Mac and I hate that crap.

Salad

On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how much do you know about the history of your country?

Oh dear, I'm afraid I find Aussie history rather boring, so I'd say about a 4. :O(

Main Course

Finish this sentence: Love is...

Two little 8 years old who are married Ahem, Homer moment there...Love is a many splendid thing...seriously it is.

Dessert

Have you ever been in or near a tornado?

Nope, no tornados here in Australia, sometimes we have mini-whirly winds and I got in one of those once, it was dusty.

Friday 5

Too much for My Taste

1. What’s too spicy for your tastes?

Just about everything :OP

2. What’s too sweet for your tastes?

Er...a lot of things...various kinds of tarts and whatnot.

3. What’s too salty for your tastes?

Anything with salt added to it.

4. What’s too bitter for your tastes?

A heck of a lot of things.

5. What’s too sour for your tastes?

See above, I'm a hugely picky eater...

And that's all I have to say right now...I'm watching the news, some assholes beat up this guy in front of his daughter after stealing $5 from the girl! Seriously, who does that? I hope they catch 'em and give them a good scare.

Also confusing, the wording of a report about an Apprehended Violence Order about how the person can't harrass or abuse the other person. Makes it sounds like without said order, this stuff is OK. Or maybe I'm just tired.

Anyway, it's almost midnight, so I shall go to bed now.

Night to you all.
