Fudge! I missed The Glasshouse last night! Porqueeeee! I told myself that it was coming up! I told myself to tape it and I missed it!
I'm so depressed by this...lame I know, but I am. Aussies on my list, did you or do any of you know someone who may of taped it? I can dub stuff so yeah that'd rock!
Blast you ABC, for not releasing it on video! That pisses me off greatly!
It was a good episode too...if you can believe this I taped it on Wednesday on my Strictly Dancing tape and then proceeded to tape over it yesterday with Strictly Dancing. Argh! Crap! I briefly thought about not taping over it, thinking I'd might forget to retape The Glasshouse, but nooo I trusted my dumbass brain...Stupid brain!
Having written all this though, I feel kind of stupid for been so depressed over a show! I mean chances are I won't even watch it again...but you know me...I'm obsessive.
So obsessive in fact that my love of Spider-Man insists that I make me a mood theme! Well actually it's more of an Osborn Mood Theme because I'm pretty much using icons inclusively to do with them (not too many with old Norman, 'cause he's an asshat). It's going OK (except I've just noticed how damn blurry my 'relaxed' pic came out), you can check it out here.
And now Four for Friday
1: Are you able to watch a movie or an episode of a television show you've never seen before not from the very beginning but from a quarter or halfway thru?
Hmmm...dunno...if I really really wanna see it I'll watch it from anywhere! But all the same I really, really want to see the whole thing ASAP.
2: When you put gas in your car, do you attempt to put in an amount that equates to a specific dollar amount (say $19.00 even), or are you okay with paying whatever amount pops onto the screen at the time the gas first stops flowing from pump to tank? Said differently, if the initial charge on the pump reads $18.67, do you stop right there, or do you continue pumping until the meter reads $18.75 or $19.00 even?
I'm all about round numbers when putting petrol in my car. I hate when I accidentally get $10.03 'cause then I have to round it up to $10.05, pain in the ass!
3: On average, a hurricane produces more energy than the entire world's power plants put together. Which scares you more, hurricanes or tornadoes?
Er neither really, as I live in a part of the world where they don't happen, but I recently heard that a hurricane can have all the power of the tornado and like three times the size, so I'll take the hurricanes.

Well, I'm not sure of region, but did you know you can't get Tim-Tams outside of Australia? This is disgusting, they're the best buscuits ever!
2. Ham or turkey at Christmas and Easter? Or was there some other main course not typical for your area or religion?

Saturday-8
:: dress-me-up (in your love!!!)::
1. What is your 'style' - clothing and accessories - and do you have more than one? (ex: work/school, home/partying, etc.)
Err...casual I suppose, I don't really pay attention to what I wear and buy, I mean just as long as it matches and stuff it's OK with me. There's no difference between what I wear at school/work then to what I wear at school. (Although when I get a 'proper' job this'll probably change). For parties, I'll dress up some or a lot depending on what sort of parties they are.
2. I've gone from preppy to punk/skater to fraternity slut to Ann Taylor. How has your style changed over the years?
Not at all. Like I said I'm not fussed with my clothing choices. I don't like to spend too much money on clothes normally so yeah...I don't keep up with the trends.
3. What do you feel the most comfortable wearing in your closet now? Why?
See answers to last two questions...I generally only have comfortable clothes, so any old thing will do!
4. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
You know I counted 'em up once, but I sure can't remember anymore...I think about 10 or 15, most of which I've never actually worn more than once. Whoops...
5. I've gone from a size 8 to pregnant to a size 5 to pregnant to a size 12. What is your current size, and is it where you want it to be?
This is a loaded question becaues sizes are so damn varied now a days! For example, I have a size 8 pair of pants that fit fine, but lately when I brought jeans I had to get size 11. Then I lost some weight or something so now they're too big! Well, that's what belts are for.
And I'm happy where I'm at.
6. What store(s) do you currently buy most of your clothes?
Honestly, I have no idea...Grace Brothers, Jean West, Just Jeans and second hand shops...I'm a skin flint. ;O)
7. I don't usually wear jewellery - no earrings, one ring on my left hand, no bracelets/anklets/necklaces. What jewellry do you usually wear?
A watch.
I used to wear of chain with a silver cross on it, but damn me I broke it! And I haven't replaced it yet...quite the bummer.
8. What was the last piece of clothing (or accessory) you bought?
The aforementioned jeans, as well as a black pair from the Men's Section, which actually fits better than the blue ones now. Tsk tsk!

Never Say Never
1. What is the one job you'd never want to do?
There's a whole heap of ones I don't want to do! But I'll say Pathologist...dude I don't wanna see a dead body!
2. Where in the world would you never want to live in?
Iraq for a number of reasons, lest of all the heat.
3. What TV show would you never watch?
Big Bloody Brother, ugh! Never seen anything so annoying! And I'm pretty annoying! :OP
4. What food would you never want to eat?
Monkey brains, I'm still scared by that scene in Indiana Jones.
5. What sport would you never want to even try?
American Football...I'd forsee my quick horrible death.
The New Friday Five
1. What foods did you eat growing up that you later found out were regional items? (specific brands or recipes that you thought everyone could buy or make)
Well, I'm not sure of region, but did you know you can't get Tim-Tams outside of Australia? This is disgusting, they're the best buscuits ever!
2. Ham or turkey at Christmas and Easter? Or was there some other main course not typical for your area or religion?
Ham. Turkey tastes like chicken with a weird after taste to me.
3. What was your favorite meal served at your elementary school?
School lunches aren't usually brought in Australia, you bring your lunch from home, but the sausage roll or pie was my favourite thing to buy at the Tuckshop (as it's called).
4. What family recipes have been handed down to you, and have you tweaked any of them a little bit to make them more yours?
Well, there's the old spagetti recipe, delicious it be! The only thing I've done to tweak it is not add the extra garlic.
5. Are there foods/recipes you wouldn't eat as a child that you now regularly enjoy?
Heh...I'm a rather fussy eater and I like my food pretty simple (no spices, or added salt or pepper for example), so I really can't say. I don't think there's any! How sad am I? :OP
Saturday-8
:: dress-me-up (in your love!!!)::
Tsk tsk!
The Saturday Six appears to have died...major league bummer that, well what can you do?

PS: Ah, Holy Crap, my knees have just started hurting for no good reason...this sucks!
And now <lj-cut text="STOP! Meme Time! (Again)"> Four for Friday
4: What are three things you wish you could do while sleeping?
Write
Draw
Surf the Net.
Friday Fiver
The final countdown...
5. Did you follow NASA's latest space mission?
Some of it, yes, and I got very interested in the return of the Discovery as it was quite tense wondering what might happen.
All things considered I suggest they don't name anymore shuttles names that begin with "C" I think it's an omen.
4. If you could launch a politician into space, and perhaps they wouldn't make it back, who would it be?
See you in Hell, John Howard! }:O)
3. Do you believe in an after-life?
Yep! But I'm rather confused as to what it will consist of, whether we'll be able to move around and stuff or if it'll be more like a state of mind.
2. If there really are aliens, what do you think they look like?
Not sure, probably rather weird looking, maybe amphorous blobs, but they probably won't be able to talk or go travelling in that case so we'll probably never find 'em!
1. Have you ever been to Europe?
Indeed, to France and Great Britian for three months in 1993, it kicked ass!
Friday Forum
1] Do you enjoy keeping up-to-date on current events? Why/why not?
Where do you typically get your news [TV, the radio, magazines, the
Internet, or elsewhere]?
Indeed I do, I watch three newses a day! And I like to go through the newspapers when I get the chance. And since I listen to the radio at work now, from there too. Not sure whether this really helps in getting the full story, but it's pretty interesting.
2] Have you ever been interviewed for a news story? When the story
aired/was published, were you happy with how it turned out? Was your
photo included with it?
Nope! My big brother has though.
3] Imagine that you have the opportunity to become a foreign
correspondent for a week. Where would you want to report from, and
what types of stories would you be interested in doing?
I'd like to report from the UN in New York, important world events go on there and beside that I could take in the sights of that great city. :O)
4] A friend has some major news to share. Are you usually the first
one to find out or always the last to know? Do you do a good job of
keeping big news a "secret" if the person doesn't want anyone to
know? Do you become upset if you're left "out of the loop"?
Dunno...it depends on what the news is and how close the person is to me. :O) I don't usually get left out of the loop, thankfully, because when I do, I get pretty peeved.
And I'm good at keeping news a secret if someone asks me to.
5] Name five topics [or issues, or stories] that you wish the news
media would cover [either nationally or locally].
The Situation in Sudan
The AIDs Epidemic in Africa and lack of proper medication
What's the deal with Defense Spending?
The Aboriginal Land Issues
Hmm can't think of a fith one.
Friday's Feast
Appetizer
Did you sleep good last night?
Did I sleep well I believe you meant to ask (My Grandmother's hamnmered that one into my head.) :O) To answer your question, yes indeedy, although I think I may have woken up a bit too early.
Soup
What is your current computer desktop image?
A lovely pic of the Concorde, it rocks!
Salad
When was the last time you planted something, what was it and where did it go?
Holy Crap, I haven't planted anything since I tried to grow some baby carrots when I was 9 or 10 years old. I didn't have much success.
I am looking after the House Plant here though. :O)
Main Course
What's your favorite condiment?
Tomato sauce for sausages...mmmm...sausages.
Dessert

4. What food would you never want to eat?
