Hmmm...I Really Should Have Put More Thought Into Shopping...
4.45pm: Because I don't have anything to eat for dinner tonight! Unless I just have the same thing as I did last night, but that would be boring, besides I don't have any other vegetables aside from carrots, so it'd also be unhealthy too. However, it's like 32 degrees C out there and my car is nearly outta petrol...I thought about going swimming today, but where? I wonder if the weather will be nice on Saturday? 'Cause then we could all go to my friend Zep's house (it's her and my other friend Ben's) birthday and swim in her pool. I could bring my pool noodle! :O) But I heard a cool change was coming in this afternoon, but I'm not sure what that translates into.
But I've sent a message to Zep, but she hasn't responded yet, I'm a bit leery of calling too many people up down here, firstly 'cause my phone has a tendancy to drop out down here and secondly because it costs quite a bit for me to use my mobile when it isn't the weekend.
It's awfully quiet down here as I've given up on watching DVDs for the moment, for some very annoying reason some DVDs don't play right...or there's something wrong with the TV, the colour gets dark then lighter, then cycles around again. As you can imagine it's quite headache inducing, I finally watched Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, well listened to the Director's Commentary more like, which was good 'cause I've had that DVD for over a month! It's a good movie, of course the Mr. Darcy factor makes it all the better. :O)
Owww, my face hurts...damn sinuses. I wonder if I should get that looked into or what? At least it explains my cold symptoms...but it's still a complete pain in the ass.
There's a fly in here, and I can't get it to go away, nor will it stay still long enough for me to whack it! Damn thing...
In other news, jobs! It's just occurred to me that I'm supposed to have applied to ten jobs by tomorrow...I've only done three! Yikes! I suppose I could tick the box that says "Did something prevent you from searching" and cite my chest infection, but really that's a lame excuse. Also I'm not sure what I'm meant to do with the book...take it to the nearest Centrelink? Or do I have to take it to the Special Centrelink in the city, because that sounds like a pain in the butt.
So I'm looking in the local paper here, but I must say I'm a bit disturbed about an ad I've come across with incorrect spelling...heh well I suppose I could just take The Simpsons philosphy with that: "Wow! Look at that...this place must be good, they don't need a big ad, or even correct spelling..."
But I don't have all the qualifications necessary for it, so I needn't worry.
Ok...four jobs done, six to go...hmmm...
Oh beans! I'm missing the Channel 10 news, it's hard to get any station here, but ten seems to come through OK, so I'm gonna hurry off and watch that now, plus I've been procrastinating on this entry anyway...
