Applied For Intern Job...
11:02pm: And now I need to play the waiting game, boo. Maybe I can try calling the contact person to find out if my email was received and if it's going to be passed on or something. I'm kind of worried I wrote my cover letter all wrong, gulp. If I call tomorrow afternoon though, maybe I can fix it and resubmit it if it's that bad.

In other news, I went to the Grandparents in good time and luck was not on my side, let me tell you, M managed to make five Canastas during one hand - two of which were natural (7 of the same card) which are worth 500 points each! Suffice to say even though I'd started ahead on the game we were continuing I was beaten. We started another game which still needs to be finished, so maybe I'll have some luck there! :OP
I spoke to Grandpa about my laptop woes, and he convinced me to buy an external hard drive to copy all my important files onto before the hard disk dies. I was going to continue using it, but I downloaded a program that clearly showed what the issue is and it's not a good one, apparently the hard drive is overloaded with bad sectors. Bummer.
Grandpa went out shopping while M and I played Canasta - he isn't able to play golf at the moment because somehow he ended up with bursitis in his left elbow - while he was out there he somehow came into possession of a green helium balloon, which he gave to me. How nice! Only thing is, the helium didn't last long, I took it home before going out again to buy the external hard drive and other stuff and by the time I got back (although I did have to take a detour to go back to the Grandparents place because I managed to leave the carrots I asked Grandpa to buy for me behind) it was no longer floaty, boo.
M and Grandpa also gave me my birthday present, I'll have to wait to Saturday to open it though! And I still need to figure out what to do for my birthday. Maybe my two friends, who I'm seeing tomorrow can help me decide.
Speaking of, I better head off now, because one of them will be picking me up at 9:30 tomorrow so I have to be ready. Note to self - put on sunscreen and also bring the tube along! I don't want to get sunburnt! I've got a bit of a tan from just being outside, it's particularly noticible on my feet where you can see the lines from my sandal straps!
