anonymoose_au: (Hey! Bitches)
11:24pm: Oh yes, it was quite terrible at Macquarie Mall today...I've never seen it so busy! I've just realised it must be because the school holidays have started. But at the time all I could think about was the ice skating I was missing! Admittedly I arrived at the parking lot at 2pm so I was all ready running late, so as I drove around going up levels, looking everywhere I got more and more irate, to the point where anyone who looked my way would probably have freaked out at the look on my face. To say nothing of all the swearing I was doing! Oh and the pounding on the steering wheel, I haven't freaked out like that since my parents convinced me to come and pick them up from the Opera House on a Saturday night and I got stuck in the city traffic for what felt like forever, I didn't even manage to pick them up in the end.

But yes, it was so aggravating! They've got those sensors above the car spots so as you drive in the lot there's these little signs that say how many spots are available in any particular area. The problem though is that there were all ready cars waiting to take the spaces, so I'd turn into a row that had a 1 or 2 lit up on the sign and there'd all ready be two cars there waiting! At one point while I was trying to find a spot Igot so aggravated I felt like crying and abandoning my car! In the end I think I might have stolen someone's spot, but by that time I was almost fifteen minutes late and the spot was about as far away from the rink as I could be without parking outside the mall all together!

So yeah, that sucked! Good thing the ice skating rink is so cool, otherwise I think my head would have exploded. And I got 40 minutes of good skating time in, yaay! :O)

However, I did have some more bad luck after I left the mall, I had to go out of an exit I hadn't used before but I managed to find my bearings and then I saw a Shell service station, and I was reminded that I needed to fill my car up with petrol. And the price for the petrol I needed was very good so I pulled in only to end up in the wrong row so I had to reverse in order to get to right row and there was a car behind me. So I'm reversing and I bump right into it! O.o It was only a small bump, but there was a passenger in the car and when the driver came out after paying for her fuel there was a bit of bruhaha. But there didn't seem to be any damage at all except for maybe a tiny scratch so thank God for that.

Still that could have been nasty! I mean I've got money now but I'd rather not use it on an insurance claim!

After that though things went quite well, I got to church early so I sat in my car and caught up on my reading and the organist had picked one of my favourite hymns! Although he'd only written the chorus on the slides - he seems to prefer the singer doing the most of the singing. Hmpf! So much for congregational participation.

Moving on, I started working on the petticoat today, I've made the yoke, although I kind of stuffed up a bit with the hemming of the casing for the elastic, and because material likes to fray on me, some of the stitches gave way so there was a bit of stuffing around with that. And so far I've cut out one panel of the dress bit, there's supposed to be eight, and the original aim was to fold the fabric in such way so I could cut out all eight at once, but tulle proves to be an ass to fold. So once again, boo!

Finally, excepting the Memes which I'll have to do tomorrow, I made lasagna in my new Pyrex dish tonight, it works great, whooo! Yum! Go me.

Now, I best be off, tomorrow is going to be a bit busy I'm meeting my friend from TAFE for lunch and there's the gym too and of course more sewing!

Goodnight all!
