Today's My Luck Day!
Apr. 1st, 2015 11:26 pm11:12pm: Indeed! At least in terms of finding stuff I'd misplaced...well except for the goggles, but I managed to buy some nice new green and black Speedo brand ones for $10 at Rebel Sports. First though, I took the advice of Mrs S and my own gut feeling and went to the Brookvale Bus Depot Lost Property office in person.
And wouldn't you know it? My grey jacket was there! It turns out because of the badge I bought some time ago for ANZAC Day - in the shape of sailor hat - had lead the Lost Property Officer to believe that it was a school jacket. So, I was certainly lucky in that case!
There was also another issue, my Dexamphetimine is about to run out and the Pyschiatrist never did send out the new script for them. So, of course, I'd managed to sit on my hands until today, so when I called up before heading into the gym there was little to no time to rectify the situation. Especially since the doctor only works in the office on Fridays and not this Friday since it's a Public Holiday. The only thing the receptionist could do was send an email to the doctor and get the details of the Pharmacy I use so if the script was obtained it could be faxed there.
I didn't have much hope for that...but after my gym and swimming session, I remembered that I needed milk and to fill up the script for my other medication so I better pop by the pharmacy and maybe if asked they might be able to arrange a stop-gap measure for me.
On the way to the local shops, I stopped at the library since as previously mentioned, I managed to leave my water bottle there - or at least that's what I hoped! - And so it turned out to be the case, so I've got it for tomorrow now.
When I got to the Pharmacy, I asked for my Zoloft and imagine my surprise when the Pharmacist said they'd received a script for me by fax and had a bottle of Dexamphetamine behind the counter for me. I must remember to thank my doctor when I see him next Friday!
The only downside? I couldn't change the morning appointment I made, he's all booked up, so it looks like I'm going to have to sacrifice a day's work since it isn't even super early, it's at 9am, but the time I go to it and then get back to this area it'll be nearly 11am. Booo
In closing, I got the milk from the little shop and made my lasagna tonight in the new dish Mrs S gave me since she was throwing it out anyway. It came out deliciously! Go me!
Right, work is back at the same time tomorrow and I'm sleepy as Hell since I got up early this morning so I'm gonna wrap this up here and hit the hay. In fact, I should be there all ready!
For now, goodnight!
