Friends...Church...Friends
Feb. 28th, 2015 11:14 pm10:44pm: Well, suffice to say my plan didn't go like I thought it would, primarily because the bus my friend and I caught to the hospital to see our other friend was late. As a result we didn't get there until 4:15. I was still considering going to church, but time passed quickly, so I called Mum to see if she would call Ivan (since I lost his number) to say I wouldn't be able to come. Mum though, said it was too late and I had to go this time because I couldn't just leave them in the lurch like that.
However by this time the bus to catch to Neutral Bay it had all ready gone and there was no way to get there in time! They only thing I could think to do was find Ivan's number - I had it on a resume so I had to turn on my mobile data get in my email and download it - and call him myself. Considering I was visiting my friend in hospital and she's just had brain surgery it was an all right excuse, but still I'm not sure what happened. Also, I have to admit I'm a little worried what Mum will say when/if she finds out? I suppose as a 31 year old I should not be scared of my mother or rather afraid of disappointing her, but you know.
Also now I have to figure out what church to go to tomorrow, since it's Lent and one really should go to church in Lent. I guess I could just go to the church I went to on Ash Wednesday, hopefully the priest won't talk for so long during the sermon, my mind started wandering! :OP
Anyway, it was good to be able to hang out with all the friends and catch up, there was even a visitors room for us to sit in! We left at around 5:30, since dinner arrived and our hospital friend was tired (her boyfriend stayed with her) as we left I asked Ben (who's an intern now) what the Hell a AGV was since there were all these signs about not interfering with them. Turns out that the hospital - which has recently been upgraded with new buildings - have these automated guidance vehicles, which bring food and bed sheets up to the wards all by themselves. Cool! :OD Alas we didn't see any, but that's pretty cool, like a Roomba but on a larger scale. Apparently they speak in a posh English accent, LOL.
We went to Chatswood for Chinese food - it proved to be a tight fit in Ben's small car - and more chatting, good times, good times. It also looked like I and two of my friends were going to have to take buses home, since Ben was considering going to into the city, but he changed his mind so I got a ride back here to the Granny Flat. Yay.
Finally, I should be off since I'm going to visit the Grandparent's tomorrow and need to be there at a decent hour because we're having lunch up in the dining room at the Retirement Village, plus I need time to play Canasta with M and get to the gym! So alas the memes will remain undone for now, I will catch up though!
Also my left shoulder feels sore, weird...the bus to the hospital did suddenly stop fast but I would't have thought that could cause it, I don't even think I was holding onto a support rail or anything. Weird indeed.
Righto, off I go, goodnight all!
