10:46pm: Because they are! I may have mentioned this before, but they're livestreaming the Junior Grand Prix and the YouTube channel says you can set a reminder for it, but all the times are wrong! Which is weird because I'm signed in as an Aussie...or am I? I should check that I guess!

Anyway, quick entry because not much to report, just a normal Thursday, except I didn't have to work at the library this afternoon (although I will be tomorrow). I ended up sleeping in and getting to my volunteering rather late LOL, but hey I got there and that's the important thing. :OP

Moving on, the mouth guard feels quite strange and is hard to get out, but I have to say...my jaw certainly feels a lot less tight in the mornings, so I guess I do clench my teeth in my sleep. Although now I wonder...will I need to wear the splint for the rest of my life?! That doesn't sound fun at all. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

What else? Not a lot, I was supposed to print out this picture of lamb stew for Mrs S - so she can put it in her recipe folder, except I don't know exactly what kind of lamb stew recipe she has. There's a whole lot of different types.

Anyway I have to go to bed, so I better wrap this up. Tomorrow is set to be 28 degress and Saturday even hotter at 33! Yikes. Better dress appropriately on Saturday so I don't end up getting overheated.

Whoops forgot about this entry and now I really have to go..I'm falling asleep!

Goodnight all!

Heating Up

Aug. 3rd, 2017 11:22 pm

11:11pm: Not the weather, no but my new heater! I did not know this but there's a big hardware shop in Mona Vale near where I work! Can't believe I never knew about it. Anyway, after no luck this morning at the Dee Why hardware shop before my library volunteering I headed over there to behold...oil heaters! Yay!

So far it's doing quite a good job, I just have to work out the timer, it has one but it's just a knob with some numbers on it, LOL.

What else to report? Well, despite not having updated in three days I don't have much to report, I've been obsessing on the fan fic and it's timeline, LOL. Sometimes it doesn't bother me, then sometimes it does, I blame my obsession for timelines on Back to the Future, they're very important there. But! I've decided to set that aside and actually write the thing because there's interest in it.

There has been a bit of bruhaha regarding work though, Mrs S's husband has had to have surgery! He's OK, but it was quite unexpected so I thought maybe I'd have to go over to her place at night to help her into bed - since he usually does that - but she seems to have figured out how to get into bed herself. At least I hope so, I don't think the wheelchair would be comfortable to sleep in.

Anyway, I better head off and get my much necessary zzzzs.

11:18pm: Yep, today I volunteered at Dee Why Library and also worked this evening at Mona Vale Library, so by the end of all that I really don't have the energy to do much in the way of updating, even though I did have the interview yesterday.

Suffice to say, I have no idea how it went, well, if I'm honest I feel like it went not so good, they asked about the helping with the children and youth and whether I could do 'Story Time' and all that and I wavered although eventually I said that I could, even though...honestly I'm not sure if that's true. And I can safely say I'm sure as Hell never doing any singing, because I think that would break several laws and contravene the Geneva Convention.

But! I did arrive on time, early even and properly dressed with my hair looking nice. The one thing that was worrying was they seemed to have the wrong resume...the one from two years ago, which doesn't list my part-time job at Mona Vale. I swear I sent the updated one so what gives? It didn't help that I've got an out of date resume in my folder. Pft.

Anyway, I better head off, I need my zzzs, although I wonder what - if any - fall-out there will be to the latest news that the councils that went to court about amalgamation now no longer have to do it! The former Pittwater Council is probably so pissed they didn't hold out (I wonder why they didn't?) and will they do anything about it?

And now, I'm off!

Umm Hmmm

11:37pm: I don't have much to say about today, the usual stuff happened, volunteering at the library, getting up late, LOL. I did have to go see Mrs S for a little bit, but that was really the only change in the typical routine of the day.

But OMG I almost forgot to mention the most important thing! I got a phone call from Manly Library today, they want me to come in for an interview next Wednesday! They asked if I wanted to do it 2pm but I've asked for 4:30pm instead since I'm supposed to help Mum out with Scripture Class, even though yesterday she wasn't able to do it because she got called in for substitute teaching at the high school in Mosman. Instead she got Dad to fill in for her, I'm surprised she managed to convince him, since Dad has been less than enthused about it, I went early to help him with both classes although he didn't really need me that much. Interestingly enough Year Two class seemed easier to handle, I guess they were all intrigued by the guitar, they all enjoy singing in that class. The aim was to teach them the Hail Mary, which I think Dad did, so with any luck they'll remember next week.

But yes, an interview for a library assistant job! Hooray! It's been a while though so I better work on my interview skills which I feel let me down a lot. With any luck Mum might be able to drive me to Manly afterwards so I can at least know if my hair is nice.

Anywho, time is swiftly moving and I need to get my zzz's! That being the case I'm gonna short entry this sucker and head for bed!

11:25pm: Nope, not at all...I stayed up too late last night like a dumbass and also the night before...so yeah, I'm very sleepy, which sucks because the Fed-Ex is playing his Semi-Final tonight and I can't watch it because it's the second one and the first one is definitely going to go to four sets. Balls :OP

I did a least get to see a shot of the Fed-Ex hanging at the Player's Restaurant watching the action. LOL, he's cool as a cucumber. But seriously, I can't believe I've hardly seen any Wimbledon this year?! I don't remember it being such a problem previously? Although I have noticed they don't seem to be reshowing games in the day time...it's probably all on the internet now, bah!

I'm also feeling pretty bummed about Le Tour, I can't get into it without Phil Liggett, it's just not the same! I wonder is he gone from commentating races all together? Is it all just interviews now? Which incidentally I never see on SBS even when I tune into the start of the coverage!

I'm also struggling a bit with my story...I'm tossing up between skipping this particular event all together, it's technically not that important to the plot and can be referred back to in later chapters or whatever. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I should skip it and see how it goes, LOL, guess my Tumblr friend was right about not posting until you've finished writing the story.

Oh yeah! That reminds me, yesterday after finishing work at the Mona Vale Library before heading for my volunteering I bought a lined notepad and put it in my Bamboo Spark and got around to trying it out. And it worked! Hooray! I was a bit worried because the pad has 90 sheets and the manual recommended only 50. So I'm hoping that'll be useful for my writing.

But anyway, I have to be off since like I said I underslept and it bit me in the butt, starting from this morning when I woke up turned my alarm off and fell back to sleep for another half hour! I was a bit late to Mrs S's which I've been doing a lot lately, stop backsliding me!

Also my tiredness led to me skipping the gym this afternoon, sigh. I expect better from me, LOL.

So yes, I bid you all goodnight!

10:46pm: Not sure if I mentioned this but I borrowed a DVD series from the library the other week called The 72 Cutest Animals and of course it's full of cuteness! They've just shown the Elephant Seal, the adults aren't that cute, but the little calfs sure are! Man, I love seals and how they have to wriggle along, LMAO, boing, boing, boing! And so on :OP Looove it.

Anyway moving along, it's been a busy day! First there was work at Mona Vale Library this morning, it started off rather quiet, but ended up being quite busy and then afterwards volunteering at Dee Why Library. I arrived rather later than usual for the latter because I forgot my phone this morning so had to go via the Granny Flat to get it and I also had to pick up my newly altered pinstripe pants! :O) They're looking good although I have tried them on yet.

Speaking of pants though, I did buy a black pair with wider legs at Warriewood yesterday, I got them from Suzanne Grae which is kind of an old lady clothes shop, but it has the benefit of short length pants, which means they actually fit me without needing to be taken up! Praise the Lord! They look very nice, except they do seem to be slightly tight? But I think they'll expand a bit, I hope so! But it's not like I could have got the next size up because then they'd be too big. Seriously, what's up with pants and me? Pisses me off.

Eeee! Break in proceedings to say the panda has just shown up on the DVD and eeee they're so CUTE!!! They look like soccerballs! It cracks me up.

What else to report? Well, my throat seems to be a bit dry today...weird, I hope I'm not getting a cold (knock on wood), maybe I should gargle or something?

Oh! And I almost forgot, dinner with the co-worker last night went really well! On Mrs S's advice I made cupcakes, but I think I mucked up the recipe a little because they didn't come out as nice as they usually do. In fact the first batch was kind of a write-off to be honest. Oh well, at least I got the frosting right this time around!

My co-worker baked chicken and added some Hoysien sauce (I think), which was Chinese inspired, but there was also mashed potato and sliced potato with a Peruvian sauce on it. Which I've tried before at Mrs S's place, it's quite nice! And the second batch of cupcakes turned out OK, so there was that as well. Her boyfriend who lives in the sharehouse too joined us, so that was interesting!

So yeah good time being social, go me.

Anyway, I better wrap this up and head off, I've got to go to bed and do my Russian!

But! I can inform you the panda got to be number 1 in the list, as it should be, LOL.

11:15pm: I seem to have lost my activity tracker...again! I know I had it this morning, but when I looked up it's location in the app it says it's in the city! More than that it says it was there four days ago, I haven't been to the city in months.

It was definitely with me this morning, ah damn where could it be? In the car? At the library? At the Save the Children charity shop I went to after I finished volunteering? Or is it in the house somewhere? I hope it's the latter but I've got a terrible feeling I might have lost it somewhere else... Ugh! Why do I fail at keeping my possessions with me? This is a serious problem.

Moving along, not much to report, although volunteering went well! I had to do some admin tasks for the Home Library Service and as I finished up the Home Library Service Co-ordinator had good news for me, one of the patrons really liked the items I selected for them. I'm always concerned about this so it's great news! I don't actually know who it is, but I shall find out next week. Cool.

In other news, I'm not sure what's going down with the fan fic, something showed up that seems to cement the timeline of Yuri on Ice and it puts it two whole years later than I thought! This kinda messed shit up, but I think I've fixed it. Then there's a whole thing about maybe I've got too much shit going on at once in one particular chapter, so I'm thinking of changing it, but I dunno...

Anyway, I better wrap this up I still need to do my Russian!

On the plus side I did get a pair of pinstripe pants at the Save the Children charity shop, which actually seem to fit. I hope!

And now I bid you all, goodnight!

11:17pm: Yeees, George III's birthday was a couple of days ago 4th June! Happy Birthday to the Monarch who's collection became the nexus of the British Library.

In other news, this is a creepy as Hell episode of Cold Case...I mean they usually are, but this one has a sick pedophile, so yeah, gross. There's a lot of sickos out there.

Not much else to report, although I did get my volunteering done at Dee Why Library as well as my paid shift at Mona Vale. Although, I'm not really looking forward to that bullshit training thing I have to go to on Thursday, I spoke to a colleague who went to the session that was on this morning and it sounds like the biggest wank. The only upside is I'll be paid for my time, but still...there's other stuff I could be doing, like writing my fic! I've slowed down in writing it, I don't want to lose the mojo...I'm think I should bring a notebook to that stupid training thing and write in it like I used to do at school. Hah that'll take me back.

Anyway, it's getting late and I need to wrap this up so I can get to sleep ASAP once Cold Case finishes, which is soon! Although this entry is seriously lacking, sorry about that - although I sure feel like I'm saying that a lot :OP I should get an interesting hobby!

11:38pm: Yes! On the one hand still no luck on the pinstripe pants front, on the other...I got some new work shoes for a bargain price!

The latter is important because as mentioned I went to the podiatrist's today, although I miscalculated how long it'd take me and ended up being late - do'h! - luckily I was able to call ahead and the person who had the appointment before mine arrived early so we swapped them around. Anyway the podiatrist took one look at me walking and declared my orthodics needed immediate adjustment, and also that my shoes weren't the best. Which makes sense I've had them for some time and really one is meant to change shoes once they start to wear down.

So before going to my volunteering at the library I popped into this shoe shop which as far as I've seen is sort of an outlet where shoes are cheaper. At first I didn't see any good deals, but then I saw a little basket where all the shoes were twenty bucks each! And there was a nice pair in my size specifically designed by podiatrists for foot comfort! Niiice, huh?! I wore them to the library and they've proven to be must comfortable, yaaay.

In other news, not much, and I've procrastinated on this update here as usual which means I gotta run, because there's work tomorrow! Plus I'm sleepy. :OP

Sorry for short entry syndrome, LOL!

11:37pm: In Equador? I'm watching House Hunters International and apparently in Equador (and other places I suppose?) they don't have regular hot water, they just put heating wires around the actual shower head. Like WTF? I don't even understand how that would work without electrocuting you first time. Seems it must though. Crazy all the same if you ask me.

Anyway, not much to report I got to work at Mona Vale today early...real early as it turns out as I wasn't on today! WTF? How embarrassing! I felt pretty silly, especially since I bought a sausage roll for break time before going in. There wasn't any mini-sausage rolls there, but the owner kindly let me have a normal sized one for the same price!

So, once I discovered that I wasn't on at Mona Vale, I realised that meant I needed to do my volunteering! So it was off to Dee Why Library for that. On the plus side, at least that meant I could return the stuff I borrowed there personally because I'm still not sure if returning them at Mona Vale means they'll get checked in that same day. Because Dee Why Library doesn't let staff avoid overdue fees, which is pretty rude when I think about it...

Anyway, the volunteering went OK, although I don't feel like I got as many selections done as I should have, oh well. Once I finished I popped by the parentals on the way home to try looking for my sunglasses, but no luck. While there though Mum gave me some concerning news about my apartment, the agent had actually called me while I was driving to the library to ask for Mum's number so she could tell here something and I found out what it was.

They hadn't actually got the DA entirely approved by council when they were selling the apartments! So instead of a 15 storey tall building, they can only do a 7 storey one! Which means a whole lot of apartments will no longer exist! There's no word on whether mine will be one of these, but seriously what the fuck? I guess that news article wasn't wrong! Buying off the plan is risky. Now if the apartment does disappear we can get our money back, but I'm most irritated because the deposit we paid could have been in our bank accounts gaining interest. Instead the building company gets it! I've heard about that bullshit before, not cool not cool at all.

So, now I have to wait and see what happens.

On the upside I found my sunnies! I turned out I'd left them in the shopping bag with my new swimsuit - so it was here in my room this whole time! How embarrassing - again! I actually thought about that this morning but I'd forgotten where the bag was...so that was another worry until I found it again. But yes everything is back in hand.

Anyway, it's coming up on midnight so I better haul butt, good news, though, Plushy's grand opening of his skating school went super well and there was cake and everything! Yum! Except now I want cake ;O)

11:33pm: Yes! Huzzah! It finally came! I now have a credit card again! Thank the Lord!

The only downside is it didn't show up in the brief period I was home between my library shift this morning and my library volunteering this afternoon, and then I didn't get it until I got home and I'd already been to Warriewood and it was rainy. So...I haven't got Mrs S's $100, which means I really should pop by the ATM tomorrow morning to get it on my way to her place. So, I should get my ass to bed.

Also, my right thumb remains sore when I bend it and every so often that weird buzzing sensation reappears in my fourth finger. I did consider making a doctor's appointment, but by the time I'd finished volunteering I felt like it was a bit late. Plus I bought some Voltaren anti-inflammatory gel and I wanted to see if it did anything before going to the trouble of all that. Although, thinking on it, perhaps I could take the opportunity to get my flu shot so even if the doc can't offer a diagnosis on the thumb it won't be a big old waste of time.

Although I was quite concerned when Mum suggested the other day that my sore thumb could be arthritis! I mean Dad has arthritis in his thumbs, but c'mon I'm not old! Then again, I have no idea when Dad's thumb arthritis started, maybe he was my age. Shiiit.

Oh and I also paid the speeding fine this afternoon and cancelled my Red Cross monthly donation, but what are you gonna do?

OK, and now I better hit the sack! Wish me luck with my thumb and work and all that jazz.

11:42pm: So in the daylight this morning the car didn't look nearly as bad as I feared, although the scratches are still most unfortunate. My poor poor car. I did actually try to use my auto paint to cover them, but I dunno how well that'll work, however, I'm in no position to spend any money fixing it, especially with the letter I got today.

Yes, when I got home from Mrs S's and the Warriewood Square and saw the envelope in the mailbox my spirits lifted! Until I picked it up and felt how light it was and then saaw it was from the Office of State Revenue.

They didn't overturn my speeding ticket! What a bag of dicks, I have sped one other time during my whole driving life (and there were no cops or cameras around soo they don't know that), it was 7 minutes before the school zone time ended and the fact that $180 is a financial burden on me (more than a shift's worth) fell on deaf ears. What a fuck-up.

Obviously, I'll have to pay it since I'm certainly not going to court to argue about it - it'd cost me even more money and time.

So yes,not the best of luck there.

However! Because my place wasn't very tidy and Mum had to go shopping for some stuff, as well as it being unseasonably warm today instead of coming over to the Granny Flat, we went to Warriewood Square where I finally found a pair of shorts suitable for work (it only took going to just about every clothing shop in the place!) and got my medication - which I hadn't been able to purchase before because my low-income card has expired so now I have to pay the full subsidised price, which is $26.

Note to self I owe Mum $150 all up now...but hey! The shorts were only $12, nice.

Right, better wrap this up and hit the hay, I've got a library shift and volunteering tomorrow so I need my zzzs!

Goodnight all!

PS Oh I almost forgot, I had the weirdest dream last night - I was on a cruise ship with my two brothers, my parents and another person I didn't know. Hmmm...

Mar. 9th, 2017 11:45 pm
anonymoose_au: (Uther - The 411)
11:28pm: Well, I stayed up way too late last night and thus didn't wake up until 10:30am today! And I was still a bit sore from yesterday (not sure if I mentioned that I was sore all over because after such a long time since I'd done weights, I had the after-work-out soreness) so I decided I'd skip the gym until tomorrow. So, I lazed about for some time until Mum rang asking if she could come over to discuss some things at which point I had to get off my ass!

Anywho, Mum bought some fish and chips and we discussed the new times for the inspections at the apartment in Newtown as well as working together to compile some quiz questions for the St Patrick's Day church celebration next week. Which Mum can't actually go to, but she offered to do the quiz and I've just seen from my email that she's volunteered my cupcake making skills! Except...I have given up chocolate for Lent, how am I meant to lick the beaters when I'm done! :OP Athough...I'm supposed to be making green frosting for them, so maybe they should be vanilla? I'll need to ask about that.

After Mum left I headed off to the library for volunteering, which went well! Although there was a bit of a worry when I couldn't find a parking spot, I thought I'd have to go back home or something! But one opened up so, phew!

Also lucky for me I'd taken out that $20 yesterday because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to buy the lasagna sheets and that would have sucked! Because I made lasagna for tonight and it was super yummy.

I also realised that I'd never changed the address on my bank account...I hadn't thought to do so because I get all my statements in electronic form, but when I realised that my new card would be going there I had to ring up the bank and get it changed. Fortunately, my bank does not suck so it didn't take me ages to get onto them, especially since I did it while at volunteering.

Right, it's getting late, so I better head off now, good thing I've done my Russian!

So, let's not beat around the bush, but dive right in!

To Port! )

Right, it's getting quite late and I stayed up waaaaay too late last night, which was a really pisspoor idea because the niggling sore throat I had yesterday has become quite a bit worse and a runny nose was thrown into the bargain today. In fact it was bad enough that when I went to do my volunteering the co-ordinator decided I should head home early - I didn't even end up staying an hour! But I've done more than two-hours volunteering the last few times, so I didn't protest too much. :OP

11:23pm: Because it seems to defeat the purpose a bit? At the moment I've been reading books from the "Adult Summer Reading Guide" which was put out by the libraries and on the front cover of it it lists the dates 1st December to 28th February. There's a competition to go with it, however I just noticed as I was filling out the card to enter that the closing date for it is tomorrow. A full 18 days before the 28th! What's up with that? Apart from anything else it means I have to rush to finish reading so I can enter, although I have to say the book I'm reading at the moment is extremely interesting so I'm getting through it at quite a good pace. However, I still have to speed read a book I've previously read so I can fill out a row on the Bingo Card! Which strikes me as somewhat dodgy, but I did read a few other books on the card so i feel like it evens out.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself tomorrow afternoon - it's set to get quite hot indeed and I'm not sure if my air-con will be able to handle it! The parental abode may call again, since I have to go over there anyway after work to drop off my suitcase, which the little bro will be taking along with all the other luggage and Mum and Dad to the city on Saturday.

I'm relieved though that the time I'm meeting my friends at one of their houses before going on to yet another friend's house for the birthday get together has been moved to later on Saturday. This means I'll be able to make cupcakes after I finish work at the library before the time change it looked like it would be a very close thing indeed - or that I might not be able to do it at all.

Apart from that, not much else to report, except that I didn't end up getting my hair done because I had to do my washing a day earlier than usual since there'd be no time to do so tomorrow. I managed to get it all done though, even my sheets because the rain has disappeared once more so I was able to hang them on the line and they dried.

Oh and I also got to the library for my volunteering, always a good thing, plus there was some cupcakes there because the refurbished work on the upstairs study area had been finished and so was re-opening. Yum!

After that I went hunting one last time for a swimming costume, but, I guess it ain't gonna happen. I think the black and white flowered one will be OK.

Right, it's getting late, so I better get a move on, sleep is important after all.

11:11pm: Yes! I didn't expect it, especially after checking the tracker page this morning and seeing that it was still 'Order Received' and even more so when I got home from volunteering and saw no box - and the landlord's wife didn't come out like she usually does when something arrives for me. So imagine my surprise when I refreshed the tracker page wondering if maybe it'd come tomorrow before it's time to leave for Canberra and seeing that it's listed as delivered!

So I went to the main house and saw through the screen door that yes! The box was there! So I rang the doorbell and the landlady answered and handed it over. Woohoo! I've been setting it up on and off since then. It's really very sleek looking and super fast compared to my old phone! This is really very exciting! And now I get to play around with it on the drive to Canberra.

Speaking of which, I have to keep this entry short because I need to wake up early tomorrow and before going to bed I have to finish packing! I don't want to forget anything.

I will just say there's a cool feature that allowed me to have most of my phone settings installed (like the wallpaper and my contact list) when I started up my new phone. Niiice.

In closing, the Canadian girl did show up to inspect the apartment and Burg seemed to like her so perhaps I won't have to move after all. But she won't be able to give an answer until Thursday, so fingers crossed.

I would also like to say, da-yamn it's hot...maybe I do need to invest in a fan....

Okedoke, I bid you all goodnight!

11:40pm: So, I need to get to bed so I better make this quick.

Anyway, the point to my subject title is...my poor IBS decided to act up today, but it was my own fault for not having a proper breakfast...or lunch for that matter. I was just so excited for the last episode of the figure skating anime that I neglected to do it and by the time I thought about it, it was kind of too late.

Suffice to say things came to a head while I was volunteering at the library, ugh, it really sucked, I almost had a full-on panic attack and as it was I had trouble properly concentrating on the work I was given. I think I did all right though, except I left early and thus didn't get my usual two hours in.

But I did at least fell OK enough to get to the War Vets home to meet my parents at the Chapel there. They wanted to talk to the people there about playing music for the 4pm Christmas vigil. Apparently there wasn't going to be any actual music, just recordings so the people there were happy to have Mum and Dad there. So that's what will be happening Saturday afternoon, although I'm not sure how I'm going to play Canasta with M if I'm doing that.

Finally, I was watching the Russian Figure Skating Nationals online, but the internet suddenly decided to be a butt and I can't seem to load any streams. Booo. At least I saw the men's event! The ladies are on tomorrow so hopefully the net will be going again so I can see it.

But now I must go! I had a dream last night I was late for work with Mrs S and I don't want that to happen for real!

So I say goodnight!

11:55pm: Indeed! With Mrs S and the two other carers, it was good times indeed! There was a special on for dinner $15 chicken pamjana with chips and salads, delicious! Although very large portions, I had no room for dessert, which I guess is a good thing since it would have cost me more and I do need to save.

Speaking of which, I was feeling guilty today because shortly after noon I got a call from Mona Vale Library asking if I wanted to come in for a shift this afternoon. However, I'd all ready promised to go in for my volunteering and it would have been too late to reschedule that (although having written t hat I probably could have moved it to tomorrow) plus if I did I would have had to hurry from work to the RSL Club for the Christmas Party and that sort of thing tends to set off my anxiety, which I totally didn't want.

So yes, suffice to say I said I couldn't and then I've felt guilty about it since, I did consider after about half an hour calling back saying I'd changed my mind, but no. What made me feel guilty more than anything was I've been praised before for my flexibilty and willingness to pick up extra shifts. On the other hand you can't just be a doormat for your work and I'm sure this won't impact on my job or anything.

So, rest easy mind!

Also I've managed to dillydallying on this entry so now I have to wrap it up and hit the hay! I've got work tomorrow and I really really need to go to the gym because I haven't gone this week and that's not cool. Especially seeing as it's a waste of my all ready tight finances if I don't actually go!

Oh and sadly I discovered this morning that like an idiot I'd left putting together my Christmas Hamper for the Church's Christmas Appeal! And now it was too late! But I was reassured to hear that the fellow I picked will still get a hamper as they got a surplus of donations. Thank goodness, how crap would I have felt otherwise! Although now I have a CD of 70 hits from the 70s. Hmmm, wonder if I should regift, return it or keep it for myself, LOL. Oh well, at least I got something for the K-Mart Wishing Tree, which I need to drop off tomorrow.

Right, now I really have to go! Goodnight all!

10:29pm: There was just a huge thunderstorm here in my suburb (and surrounding areas I assume), with flashes of lightning and bolts across the sky with big gust of wind and rain pelting down. I got a bit scared I have to say, I've never been a fan of lightning, although at least unlike last week I wasn't in my car at the time Still it was the sort of storm that makes you realise how easy it could stop a clock or send a DeLorean back in time. ;O)

Moving on, I'm wondering if I should send my application in for the temporary job at Mona Vale Library tonight or wait for tomorrow. I've pretty much written the cover letter and everything and I do wonder if waiting until the last day is bad form, but on the other hand I'm not sure it actually is ready. although as it turns out my mother might not be able to come over tomorrow after all (it seems she forgot that I work Friday mornings) so it's not like I can show it to her. I did think about calling the person on the ad though ust to see if they're looking for anything in particular or at least make sure they know that I'm interested!

Anywho...what else to report? Well I did my volunteering today, which was good, I caught the bus and actually read my book! (Usually I end up looking at my mobile instead :OP) I did get a bit concerned when I realised I'd managed to leave my drink bottle back at the Granny Fat but thankfully it didn't end up being that hot.

I can't think of what else to write, so here let's have a meme before a wrap this entry up.

Memes please! )

That's right I remembered another important and not so good news I received today...my rent hasn't been coming out of my account! No wonder I've had so much money lately! And now my savings are horribly depleted. Son of a bitch. Good thing I had it though... still that sucks. :O(

Right, work tomorrow then the psychiatrist so off I go!

Goodnight all!

11:32pm: Because there's too much of a dust build-up and get an awful blocked, itchy and seriously uncomfortable nose for my troubles. I've all ready used six tissues! And it would seem that I do breathe through my nose after all...because it feels rather hard to breathe.

On the plus side, the crazy folding method in the book I'm ready really works! My drawers have gone from being overfull to having space to spare, yay!

Oh! I've just remembered I've got that nose clear stuff - since taking anti-histamine tablets just gives me super dry eyes and a headache. I've just used it so hopefully it'll help clear my nasal passages since I do have to go to bed soon and it's hard to go to sleep when you can't breath clearly!

Right, I had a good time at the Volunteer Christmas Party today and got a certificate and a present, which I'm going to wait until Christmas to open (because I do love opening presents on Christmas morning), although I can safely say it's not another plant, which is quite a shame.

So...yeah, my nose sucks and keeps distracting me so I'm gonna wrap this entry up, but great news my new Christmas lights work! Hooray! Not sure if they'll last the whole night since it was still cloudy today, yay.

Right goodnight all!
